Belhaven House was built in 1904 and is an example of the prefabricated houses that were imported during South Africa’s mining booms. This house museum reflects the lifestyle of the upper middleclass in Barberton during the Late Victorian and Early Edwardian periods. It is one of the few remaining buildings in South Africa where both the ceilings and walls consist of pressed iron panels.
